Welcome to
The New Eastside, or as some call it, Lakeshore East, was not so much as a piece of Chicago 200 years prior. Around then it would have been in Lake Michigan. Truth be told, the greater part of the land that is presently the excellent front grass of Chicago, including Grant Park, was added as landfill beginning during the 1800s.
The New Eastside is the newest neighborhood in Chicago. It's a mixed-use development with full-service luxury residences, hotels, and office towers situated between the Chicago River and Millennium Park, with a spectacular waterfront location. The neighborhood is very vertical, with numerous residential and hotel buildings exceeding 40 stories.
New Eastside is primarily populated by single working professionals, couples, and young families who appreciate the convenience of living feet from the lakefront and walking distance from the Loop. The area is centered on a terraced park with planted fountains and flowers, and a playground that was once a golf course.
The outside streets are lined with restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and a few pubs. As additional condominiums are erected in the rapidly-growing New Eastside neighborhood, business and retail are progressively pouring into the area.
